John Roseboro

Career:
Played in the big leagues for 14 seasons with three different teams, including the Dodgers from 1957 to 1967.

Did you know? Nicknamed "Gabby" becuase he wasn't ... won World Series titles with Dodgers in 1959, 1963 and 1965 ... was a four-time all-star and two-time gold glove winner ... was clubbed in the head with a bat by Juan Marichal on August 22, 1965, in one of baseball's bloodiest brawls ... 

Post-game: Worked as a bullpen coach for the Angels and as a minor league instructor for the Dodgers, co-owned a public relations firm with his wife, and worked as an umpire evaluator for the National League in the mid 1990s ... died of complications from a stroke on August 16, 2002 at the age of 69.
