Daryl Spencer

Career:
Played in the big leagues for parts of 10 seasons with four different teams, including the Dodgers from 1961 to 1963.

Did you know? Hit the first-ever home run on the West Coast, a two-run shot in the bottom of the fourth inning as a member of the Giants off the Dodgers' Don Drysdale at Seals Stadium, on April 15, 1958.

Post-game: Played and coached in Japan, worked for a beer distributorship, and in the 1970s managed a semipro baseball team ... was inducted into the National Baseball Congress HOF in 1994, the Kansas Sports HOF in 2004, and the El Dorado Baseball HOF in 2016 ... died on January 2, 2017 at age 88.
