Al Downing

Career:
 Played in the big leagues for parts of 17 seasons with four teams, including the Dodgers from 1971 to 1977.

Did you know? Hurled an immaculate inning, striking out three Cleveland Indians on nine consecutive pitches, on August 11, 1967 ... won Comeback Player of the Year in 1971, winning a career-high 20 games and tossing a league-leading five shutouts in first season as a Dodger, finishing third in the Cy Young Award voting ... surrendered Hank Aaron's 715th home run on August 8, 1974.

Post-game: Worked as an analyst on cable-television and radio for three decades, including the Dodgers from 1980-87 and 2005, and thereafter joined the Dodgers' Speakers Bureau.
