Dennis Lewallyn

Career: Played in the big leagues for parts of eight seasons with three teams, including the Dodgers from 1975 to 1979.

Did you know? Was named Pacific Coast League MVP in 1980 after posting a 15-2 record and a league-high 24 saves to go along with a 2.13 ERA in 55 games ... was traded to the Rangers for backup infielder Pepe Frias on September 13, 1980 after Dodger shortstop Bill Russell suffered a season-ending injury.

Post-game: Served as a minor league pitching coach and pitching coordinator for nearly 40 years and as a major league bullpen coach for Arizona during part of the 2004 season .... was inducted into the Albuquerque Pro Baseball HOF in 2009.
