John Shelby

Career: Played in the big leagues for parts of 11 seasons with three different teams, including the Dodgers from 1987-90.

Did you know? Won a World Series with the Orioles in 1983 and the Dodgers in 1988 ... his sons John III, Jevon and Jaren played baseball at the University of Kentucky.

Post-game: Coached and managed in the minor leagues, and coached in the major leagues for the Dodgers (1998-2005), Pirates (2006-07), Orioles (2008-10) and Brewers (2013-15) ... was inducted into the Lexington African-American Sports HOF in 2022.
