Pete Mikkelsen

Career: Played in the big leagues for parts of nine seasons with five different teams, including the Dodgers at the end of his career (1969-1972).

Did you know? Was the losing pitcher in Game Five of the 1964 World Series ...  was the losing pitcher in the first game ever played at the Houston Astrodome on April 4, 1965 ... hurled a minor league no-hitter for the Toledo Mudhens, beating the Atlanta Crackers, 2-0, at Atlanta Stadium on July 4, 1965.

Post-game: Moved to Prosser, Washington, and became an asparagus farmer ... died on November 29, 2006, at the age of 67, after a long battle with cancer.
