Did you know? Nicknamed Buddy Jay ... was traded along with Geoff Zahn by the Dodgers to the Cubs for Burt Hooton on May 2, 1975.

Post-game: Worked as a car salesman for Huckabee Buick-Cadillac in Macon, GA ... died in a solo-car traffic collision during the early morning hours on January 12, 1986 at the age of 34.
