Lew McCarty

Career: 
Played in the big leagues for nine seasons with three teams, including Brooklyn from 1913 to 1916.

Did you know? Worked as a fireman on the Reading Railroad prior to beginning his career in organized baseball in 1911.

Post-game: Managed in the minor leagues and, during the final two years of his life, operated a hotel near Reading, PA ... died of heart disease at age 41 on June 19, 1930.
