Len Matuszek

Career: Played in the big leagues for parts of seven seasons with three different teams, including the Dodgers at the end of his career (1985-1987).

Did you know? Played baseball and basketball at the University of Toledo ... replaced baseball's all-time hit leader, Pete Rose as the Phillies' starting first baseman in 1984 ... belted a Phillies' rookie record three pinch-hit home runs in 1984.

Post-game: Worked as a sports reporter and broadcaster for a local television station in Cincinnati, Ohio, and later as a full-time caregiver for a family friend ... was inducted into the University of Toledo HOF in 1984.
