Terry Whitfield

Career: Played in the big leagues for parts of 10 seasons with the Yankees (1974-76), Giants (1977-80) and Dodgers (1984-86).

Did you know? Was named the Carolina League MVP in 1973 after topping the loop in batting (.335) and tying for the lead in homers (18) ... played in Japan for three seasons (1981-83) and was a two-time winner of the Best Nine Award ... hit a home run in his first game as a Dodger, on Opening Day, April 3, 1984.

Post-game: Longtime owner and operator of Future Pro Baseball Center, a state-of-the-art indoor batting cage facility in Northern California ... was inducted into the Bay Area Men's Senior Baseball League HOF in 1999.
