Post-game: Earned a PhD in urban studies from St. Louis University, spent nine years as athletic director at Harris-Stowe State University, and 25 years working for the St. Louis Cardinals as a minor league instructor and director of the club's community relations department, retiring in 2012 ... was inducted into the Buffalo Baseball HOF in 2016 ... died January 15, 2023 at the age of 86.
