Billy Rhiel

Career: Played in the big leagues for parts of four seasons with three teams, including the Dodgers in 1929.

Did you know? Graduated from Newburry College, where he earned letters in baseball, basketball, football and boxing ... turned an unassisted triple play while playing second base for the Portland Beavers of the Pacific Coast League on September 22, 1930.

Post-game: Worked as a manager at a Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Canteen in Warren, OH ... died of a heart attack on his birthday 46th birthday, August 16, 1946.
