Claude Crocker

Career: 
Played in the big leagues for parts of two seasons with the Dodgers (1944-45).

Did you know? Played baseball, basketball and football at the University of North Carolina ... hurled the first no-hitter in Carolina League history on July 17, 1945, but lost the game, 1-0, on a wild pitch.

Post-game: Served briefly as the baseball and basketball coach at Presbyterian College, and then worked at Clinton Mills, a South Carolina textile manufacturing company for 50 years, retiring in 1998 after rising to the rank of vice president and part-owner ... died on December 19, 2002 at age 78.
