Jim Pastorius

Career:
Played in the big leagues with Brooklyn from 1906 to 1909.

Did you know? Lost a Dodger franchise record 14 straight games in 1908, and finished the season as one of three 20-game losers on the team's pitching staff, despite a sparkling 2.44 earned run average.

Post-game: Was employed as a machinist helper by the Pennsylvania Railroad Company and and then went on to work for the Allegheny County Highway Department for more than 20 years, rising to the rank of foreman ... died on May 10, 1941 at age 59 after a brief illness.
