Roy Cullenbine

Career: Played in the big leagues for 10 seasons with seven teams, including ta brief 22 game stint with the Dodgers in 1940.

Did you know? Signed with Brooklyn for a $25,000 bonus on February 5, 1940 after he and 90 other Detroit Tigers players and farmhands were declared free agents the month prior by Commissioner Kenesaw Mountain Landis ... set a major league record by drawing a walk in 22 consecutive games, July 2 to July 22, 1947 ... Finished six seasons with an on base percentage above .400, including a season-best .477 in 1946, and ranks 41st all-time with a career mark of .408.

Post-game: Co-owned and operated a potato chip business with former big leaguer Augie Bergamo, and later worked as a manufacturer's representative ... died of heart disease on May 28, 1991 at age 91.
