Did you know? In one of the most lopsided trades in baseball history, the Dodgers shipped Bruce Ellingsen, a minor league relief pitcher, to the Cleveland Indians for a little-known 17-year old Dominican infielder-outfielder by the name of Pedro Guerrero. Ellingsen played a single season for the Tribe, posting a 1-1 record and a 3.21 ERA in 16 games. Guerrero, meanwhile, hit 30 or more homers three times in parts of 11 seasons for Los Angeles and was co-MVP of the 1981 World Series.
Post Game: Worked as a liquor salesman in Southern California, and is now retired residing in Laguna Hills, CA.
