Joe Pignatano

Career:
Played in the big leagues for parts of six seasons with four different teams, including the Dodgers from 1957 to 1960.

Did you know? Caught the final game in Brooklyn Dodger history, a 2-1 loss to the Phillies at Connie Mack Stadium on September 29, 1957 ... hit into a 4-3-6 triple play in his final big league at-bat, on September 30, 1962.

Post-game: Served as a big league coach for the Senators (1965-67), Mets (1968-81) and Braves (1982-84), winning a World Series title with the Miracle Mets in 1969 ... died from dementia on May 23, 2022 at age 92.
