Ed Rakow

Career: Played in the big leagues for parts of seven seasons with four different teams, including the Dodgers in 1960.

Did you know? Played quarterback for the the semipro Bloomfield Rams, but lost his starting job in 1956 to future Pro Football Hall of Famer Johnny Unitas.

Post game: Worked as a truck driver through the 1980s, and was player-coach for the West Palm Beach Tropics of the Senior Professional Baseball Association in 1989.
