Jim Gilliam

Career:
Played for the Dodgers for 14 seasons, beginning in 1953 and ending in 1966.

Did you know? Won the NL Rookie of the Year Award in 1953 after leading the loop in triples with 17, setting the rookie mark for walks with 100 and finishing second in runs scored with 125.

Post-game: Served as a coach for the Dodgers for 14 seasons (1965-78) ... died after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage on October 8, 1978 at age 49.
