Chuck Churn

Career: Played in the big leagues for parts of three seasons with three different teams, including the Dodgers in 1959. 

Did you know? Was the winning pitcher on September 11, 1959 as the Dodgers beat Pirates5-4, putting an end to Elroy Face's 22-game winning streak.

Post Game: Coached and managed in the Houston Astros minor league system through the late sixties, then worked as a farmer in Virginia, and later as a farm manager for Byrd Foods, Inc. ... was inducted into the Eastern Shore Baseball Hall of Fame in 1992 ... died on October 21, 2017, at the age of 87
