Brickyard Kennedy

Career: Played in the big leagues for parts of 12 seasons with three teams, including Brooklyn from 1892 to 1901.

Did you know? Was the fourth winningest pitcher of the 1890s, behind Hall of Famers' Kid Nichols, Cy Young and Amos Rusie ... posted back-to-back 20-game win, 20-game loss seasons ... hurled complete game victories in both ends of a doubleheader against Louisville on Memorial Day, May 30, 1893 ... was the losing pitcher in Game 5 of the 1903 World Series.

Post-game: Played for and managed a semi-pro baseball team in his hometown of Bellaire, OH ... died of tuberculosis at age 47 on September 23, 1915.
