Danny Richardson

Career: Played in the big leagues for parts of 11 seasons with five teams, including Brooklyn in 1893.

Did you know? Was a two-time World Series champion with the New York Giants in 1888-89 ... in 1888 led NL second baseman in fielding percentage (.942), putouts (434) and defensive WAR (2.3) ... led shortstops in range factor per game in 1890 (6.12) and 1892 (6.24) ... set a major league record for most chances in a single game by a shortstop with 20 on June 20, 1892.

Post-game: Was a successful dry goods merchant in his hometown of Elmira, NY ... died at age 63 on September 15, 1926.
