Gino Cimoli

Career: 
Played in the big leagues for parts of 10 seasons with seven different teams, including the Dodgers from 1956 to 1958.

Did you know? Was the first batter in the first regular season game played on the West Coast; facing the Giants' Ruben Gomez in top of the first inning at Seals Stadium on April 15, 1958, he struck out ... was traded to the Cardinals for outfielder Wally Moon on December 4, 1958 ... won a World Series title with the Pirates in 1960.

Post Game: Worked as a United Parcel Service truck driver and deliveryman in San Fran Francisco for 25 years, retiring in 1989 ... was inducted into the Galileo High School Sports HOF in 1975 and the San Francisco Prep Hall of Fame in 1983 ... died of kidney and heart failure on February 12, 2011 at age 81.
