Willard Hunter

Career: Appeared in one game for the Dodgers in 1962 and 68 games for the Mets over parts of two seasons (1962 and 1964).

Did you know? Was the winning pitcher in both ends
of a doubleheader as the Mets defeated the Cubs, 2-1 in the 10-inning opener and 5-3 in the nightcap at Shea Stadium on August 23, 1964.

Post game: Worked for many years as a computer operator for the University of Nebraska Medical Center. ... was inducted into the Glenn Falls Area Baseball HOF in 2007 ... died February 3, 2021 at age 85.
